Executives rank utility above all others on the list of attributes that attract them to the content they consume most. They list sources as the second-most attractive feature.

In the first quarter of 2018, Greentarget distributed individual surveys to the full range of professional services buyers in the C-suite, surveying more than 100 participants combined. The results were tabulated, analyzed and released in July 2018. Among the C-level executives responding to the survey, 52% were from companies with more than 1,000 employees. A plurality of 2% were from companies in the Midwestern United states. Percentages in certain questions exceed 100% because respondents were asked to check all that apply. Due to rounding, percentages used in some questions may not add up to 100%.
